OUR MISSION
BREAK NEW GROUND
We are focused on growth for our city, communities, businesses and people.
Chicago Community Builders Collective (CCBC) is a minority-led construction partnership that includes a joint venture partnership of minority and women-owned businesses as the majority: Brown & Momen, d'Escoto, Inc., Gilbane Building Company, Milhouse Engineering & Construction, Inc., Powers & Sons, Riteway-Huggins Construction Services, SQN Associates and UJAMAA Construction Inc.
Beyond Bally's, CCBC is transforming the future of building in Chicago by creating an inclusive environment focused on the growth of our city, communities, businesses, and people. Together, we are pursuing excellence in execution, intentional responsibility, transparency, and continuous improvement as we raise the bar for how projects partner with historically marginalized groups to build the Chicago of the future.
As the General Contractor for the Bally’s Chicago Casino Project, we will work with Bally’s local compliance consultant to meet or exceed the City of Chicago requirements of 36% MBE and 10% WBE participation with the City of Chicago and Cook County certified businesses and the residency requirements of 50% City and 15.5% SEDA.
In addition, we will work closely with the City of Chicago Aldermanic Offices, HIRE360, and a Bally’s compliance consultant to establish data collection processes and procedures that ensure maximum participation from the contractors and employment-seeking candidates. Through our work, we aim to focus on developing communication channels, organizing meetings and events, executing a contractor onboarding program, relationship-building, and targeting local businesses to recruit workers and help build the workforce pipeline.
Creating a culture of care
In conjunction with the Chicagoland Associated General Contractors, the CCBC is committed to making a positive and lasting impact on every individual involved in the Bally’s Chicago Casino project. A Culture of CARE is essential for fostering a work environment that is safe, welcoming, inclusive, and free from harassment, hazing, and bullying.
Join CCBC and become a part of the Culture of CARE community by taking the pledge as an individual or company.
Signees agree that they will create a work environment free from harassment, hazing, and bullying and build a company culture that is diverse, safe, welcoming, and inclusive so all employees can flourish.
