Chicago Defender: Bally’s Chicago Casino Resort Topping-Out Ceremony Marks Major Milestone for Jobs, Equity, and Growth

On Thursday, April 30, Bally’s Chicago welcomed media, city leaders, labor representatives, and community stakeholders for its topping-out ceremony at the future permanent casino/resort site, a major construction milestone marking the placement of the final structural beam.

The event, hosted by Darlene Hill, included remarks from city leadership, including the Mayor of Chicago and Alderman Walter Burnett Jr., alongside Soo Kim, Executive Chairman of Bally’s Corporation, as well as union leaders and trades representatives who helped bring the project to life.

The highly anticipated Bally’s Chicago Casino and Resort, set to open in 2027, represents one of the city’s most significant economic development projects in recent years.
